What is Speedtest API?
2IP Speedtest API is a ready-to-use solution for testing internet connection speed directly on your website under your own brand.
Install Speedtest on an internet provider’s website, a hosting company’s website, a corporate portal or a customer account page. Visitors can test their internet connection speed and view the results without leaving your website.
Speedtest adapts to your website’s design: enter your company name, choose one of 15 colour themes or set your own colours.
Installation requires no CMS or local database. You receive a ready-to-use package with the necessary files and instructions to get started.
How does the speed test work?
Speedtest measures three main aspects of an internet connection:
Ping is the time the server takes to respond to a request, measured in milliseconds (ms).
Download is the speed at which data travels from the server to the user’s device, measured in Mbps.
Upload is the speed at which data travels from the user’s device to the server, also measured in Mbps.
All measurements take place directly between the visitor’s browser and the server where Speedtest is installed.
Results appear in an easy-to-use interface with speed charts and basic connection information.
How can I customise the appearance?
Speedtest supports 15 ready-made colour themes that you can use without any changes.
Choose a design that matches your website, enter your own brand name or set custom colours.
All themes use the same measurement engine and differ only in appearance.
The interface is available in Ukrainian, Russian and English and automatically adapts to computers, tablets and smartphones.

How does licensing work?
A free 7-day trial is available to try Speedtest API.
Each installation receives a separate licence tied to the server’s hostname or public IP address.
The trial is available once per registered domain and also covers its subdomains. Creating a new subdomain does not start another trial.
After the trial ends, you need to purchase a licence to continue using Speedtest.
Licensing and additional connection data are handled through the 2IP API. The required keys are stored on the server and are never sent to the user’s browser.

How do I install Speedtest on my website?
Download the ready-to-use Speedtest API ZIP archive.
Extract the archive into your website directory, keeping the file structure intact.
You can install Speedtest as a separate page or in a subdirectory of an existing website.
You need a web server with HTTPS support and PHP 8.2 or later.
Speedtest uses a local PHP endpoint to measure speed, so it requires no separate testing server or local database.

Speedtest uses two keys:
Speedtest API Key is used to verify the licence and authorise testing.
Geo/Provider API Key is used to retrieve IP address, location and internet provider information.
The keys are stored in a private configuration file on your server.
You can use the free trial for the initial activation.
Choose one of 15 colour themes or set your own colours to match your website.
You can change the theme through CSS without editing JavaScript.
Enter your company or service name in the Speedtest configuration.
It will appear in the testing interface.
Open the installed page over HTTPS.
Once the licence has been verified, Speedtest is ready to use.
Click “Start test” and check that Ping, Download and Upload results appear.
Also check the speed charts and connection information.
